The largest free Fourth of July celebration in the South Sound, Tacoma Summer Blast, is back for another year. This unofficial start to summer is hosted by Metro Parks Tacoma in partnership with Tacoma's 4th of July Summer Blast is the City of Tacoma's official 4th of July Celebration. This annual event takes place on the iconic Ruston Way Waterfront and welcomes tens of thousands of visitors. Tacoma's annual Fourth of July Freedom Fair on Ruston Way promises to deliver again. Between 1:30 and 3:30 PM the Tacoma Freedom Fair Airshow will take to the skies over Commencement Bay with some of the best aviation acts in the country. Best of all, it is free! Purchase your Gold Lot vehicle pass, head on over to the Teal Lot for live music, Cruise Puyallup Car Show, a beer garden, food trucks, kids’ corner, and stay for a professional fireworks display at dusk, sponsored by MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital.
