With June already here, that means the Fourth of July is right around the corner! To get the celebrations rolling, it is good to start making plans for the holiday early. Here’s a schedule of the different fireworks displays from around the Ohio Valley in West Virginia and Ohio so you know exactly where to go to be a part of the fun! There are some really amazing 4th of July events near Lima apart from all the parties, fireworks and cruises. Star Spangled Spectacular is hosting the Freedom 5K run/walk and a fireworks show at Faurot Park. The Freedom 5K will start at 9 am. The cruise in is back this year 12pm -4pm. Fireworks will go off at 10 pm. We invite the public to join us for a wonderful, festive display at the park. Residents may discharge fireworks this summer from 4-11 p.m. on Juneteenth, Fourth of July weekend, which runs Thursday, July 3 through Saturday, July 5, and Labor Day weekend. July 4th is packed with fun activities: Freedom 5K at 9:00 AM, fishing derby at 1 PM, car show from noon to 4 PM, and lots of delicious food. The pavilion stage entertainment starts at 8:00 PM featuring music performed by the Lima Area Concert Band, followed by the area's largest firework display! Jacob Espinosa - July 2, 2024 Lima’s Star-Spangled Spectacular will have plenty of events for the entire family, with one of the region’s best fireworks shows set to close out the event. The Star Spangled Spectacular organizing committee is pleased to announce that fireworks will be back at Faurot Park in Lima this year. These are all the dates for which I have current Ohio fireworks display listings for the next thirteen months or so. If you click on a date, you'll get summaries of all the displays for that date. LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) – There are several places across the region where you can catch fireworks displays this week and enjoy the "Oohh’s and Aahh’s" of the Fourth of July holiday. The 4th of July falls on Friday this year, making for a fun three-day weekend full of festivals and fun! You can find Independence Day Festivals in Columbus, Ashville, Gnadenhutten, Portsmouth, Chardon, Lima, Loveland, Aurora, Beavercreek, Blue Ash, Pickerington, Zanesville, Conneaut, Woodville, Oxford, Oak Harbor, Delphos and many more Ohio towns. Also on Sunday, we have the 2nd annual Pride of Ada Fireworks, which is set to go off at 9:45 pm at the Ada baseball fields, at the east end of Ada War Memorial Park. No surprise, July 4th will bring most of those fireworks displays to our area. In Lima, head to Faurot Park at 10 pm for the Star Spangled Spectacular. The Lima Star Spangled Spectacular attracts over 30,000 spectators to Faurot Park on July 4th each year to celebrate our nation’s independence. The event begins when over 1,500 runners take off in the area’s largest run/walk the Freedom 5K and then continues with a full day of family-oriented, nonalcoholic fun, including arts & crafts And the largest fireworks display in west central Ohio will take place at 10:00 pm.
