Here is a list of some events to celebrate Independence Day 2024 in the Oklahoma City metro. This summer, Fourth of July events across the Sooner State feature an array of star-spangled festivities, from fireworks and air shows to parades and live music. With July Fourth falling on a Friday this year, celebrants can find fun events across Oklahoma on the next two weekends and several days in between. Catch the Oklahoma City Comets take on the Las Vegas Aviators Friday, July 4 and stay for their postgame firework show. Spend July 4th weekend at Frontier City for Star-Spangled Nights! Enjoy the thrilling rides during the day and end the night with a firework show, July 4-5. From fireworks shows along the river to old-fashioned parades and patriotic concerts, Tulsa and surrounding communities are prepared to light up the skies in celebration of Independence Day. The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma will light up with fireworks the week of the Fourth of July, with multiple shows across the 10.5 counties, as well as entertainment and cash drawings. Chelsea 4th of July Spectacular Celebrate Independence Day at Chelsea’s 4th of July Spectacular. Held on the Chelsea High School football field, this event promises an evening of outdoor festivities followed by a fireworks show. Enjoy games and food truck until dusk, when the evening ends with an incredible fireworks display over the field. Celebrate with live music, family-friendly activities, a drone show and one of the largest firework displays in Oklahoma. 6-10:30 p.m.; fireworks, 9:45 p.m. Enjoy a full day of rowing, paddling and dragon boat racing, plus RIVERSPORT activities and fireworks.
