Photo courtesy of The Orinda Association. 4th of July Parade | Orinda Station Orinda’s annual Fourth of July celebration, organized by The Orinda Association, kicks off early with a burrito breakfast at 7:30 a.m. and a flag‑raising ceremony at 7:55 a.m. The parade begins at 10 a.m. in Orinda’s Theatre District and continues under the freeway to Orinda’s Village District, culminating at the Orinda Community Center. Orinda Orinda is hosting its annual 4th of July Parade at 10 a.m., which will be preceded by a 7:30 a.m. burrito breakfast, a flag-raising and a fun run. Celebrate our country’s Independence Day with Orinda’s annual parade, sponsored by The Orinda Association. It’s a full day of events culminating with a concert in the park. It begins with the raising of our country’s flag at 7:55 a.m. in front of the Orinda Community Center, 28 Orinda Way. This year the Orinda Association has resurrected the student-designed commemorative Fourth of July T-Shirt for 2024. This year's artist is Kellen Ha, a fourth grader from Wagner Ranch. Returning this year to Orinda’s 39th annual 4th of July parade are the Orinda Volunteer Marching Band, stilt walkers and more at what is popularly known as, “The Best Hometown Parade.” "The parade begins at 10 a.m. in Orinda’s Theatre District and continues under the freeway to Orinda’s Village District, culminating at the Orinda Community Center. On July 4th there are events for every age group starting with the annual Pancake Breakfast, flag raising ceremony, fun run, parade, live music, food, games and booths in the park following the parade. From San Francisco’s iconic annual show at Fisherman’s Wharf to parades, festivals, a block party, a running race and even a baseball game — the Bay Area is bursting with Independence Day activities. Luckily, many of The Orinda Association is hosting its 40th annual Fourth of July Parade, promising a day full of traditional fun and festivities for the community. The celebration will kick off with a burrito breakfast at 7:30 a.m., followed by a fun run at 8 a.m. and a book sale at 9 a.m. Founded in 1963, the East Bay Banjo Club will, once again, grace this year’s 40th 4th of July parade. The non-profit organization is dedicated to the spirit of playing “happy” banjo music and their range of banjo playing experience ranges from several months to as much as 50 years. Celebrate with an exciting parade starting at 10 am, followed by music in the Community Center Park. There will be food trucks and beer on site. Parade Route: The 1-mile-long parade will proceed through the Crossroads business district, from the Theatre Side to the Village Side.
