The city of Rifle will host its annual Independence Day celebration Thursday evening in advance of Independence Day. Festivities kick off at Metro Park, where bounce houses, a dunk tank, inflatable slip and slide, foam Glenwood is the place to be for this year’s Fourth of July celebration. This year’s parade begins at 5 p.m. Friday, honoring 250 years of service of the Army, Navy and Marines. The old-fashioned hometown parade features equestrian units, ranch kids, locals and out-of-town guests, all decked out in red, white and blue to honor America.
