Some Americans, especially younger people, are rethinking whether they want to celebrate Independence Day. A survey by YouGov found that 56 percent of American adults planned to join in the Fireworks can worsen air quality, disturb veterans and gun violence victims and scare pets making Fourth of July a divisive national holiday for some. A surprising number of Americans are opting out of Independence Day celebrations this year, and the reasons go far beyond rising prices. With that in mind, I don't really feel like celebrating the 4th of July this year, and would like you to consider not celebrating, too. Let's start some new traditions.
