The Boulder IDT is one of the top club softball events of the summer and began last Wednesday with pool games and concluded with bracket play over the weekend. For more than two decades, this 80-team competitive girls softball tourney has been hosted in Boulder! BOULDER will host an 80 team 18U tournament to be played at the Stazio Complex (7 fields) and the East Mapleton Complex (3 fields) in Boulder. Hotshots National-Nelson. Many of the top teams in the country converged on the Independence Day Tournament June 26-July 3 in Boulder, CO. Here are some of the highlights for Sunday, July 3 (All rankings are Extra Elite Eighty Club Rankings): Most of the softball community will descend upon Colorado this week for the Boulder Independence Day Tournament. In 1996, a momentous event unfolded in Boulder, Colorado, as the inaugural IDT fastpitch tournament took center stage. This will mark the 29th year of the IDT! Crafted by the visionary Dan Burns and his team, this tournament brought together an 36 teams hailing from 7 states, representing three distinct age divisions. Colorado Stars teams typically play in a variety of demanding, high-quality tournaments every season. Additionally, the organization hosts three widely respected tournaments, including the nationally known Independence Day Tournament (IDT), attended by college coaches from all over the country. The 2025 Louisville Slugger Independence Day Softball Tournament will run from Wednesday, July 2nd through Sunday, July 6th in Boulder, Louisville, Longmont, and Broomfield, Colorado. Lodging Details The facility has been the site for a Men's A National Fastpitch Championship and the annual Louisville Slugger Independence Day Girls Fastpitch Softball Tournament, including an exhibition game between the US National Softball Team and the Chinese Taipei National Softball Team.
