The US Embassy Dublin has a long tradition of 4th of July, Independence Day, celebrations in the Phoenix Park, Dublin City. On 4th July at 11pm (GMT), Edward F. My favorite places we stopped this week were Killarney, Cliffs of Moher and Galway. Killarney is where we stayed for the Fourth of July. Our itinerary worked out perfectly because Killarney is the only city in Ireland that puts on a Fourth of July celebration. This city had a BBQ, parade and fireworks all in honor of American independence. The centrepiece of the 4th of July events is the evening’s Big Parade through the streets of Killarney. American themed floats, Disney characters and an ensemble of wild west shooters and dancers entertain the crowds.
