James Taylor returns to Tanglewood with his All-Star Band for performances on Thursday, July 3, and Friday, July 4, 2025, at 8 p.m. in the Koussevitzky Music Shed. Taylor will be joined by the Boston-bred acoustic harmony trio Tiny Habits. Tanglewood is bringing us a little Fourth of July in January with its announcement of performances by James Taylor and his All-Star Band this summer. Sweet Baby James will take the stage for his annual appearance on July 3 and 4 this year. The Tanglewood Medal will be presented to James Taylor in recognition of his extraordinary accomplishments as a singer-songwriter and performer, as well as his many significant contributions to Tanglewood and the broader Berkshires community. He will receive the medal during his July 3, 2024 concert with his All-Star Band. The 2025 concerts mark 51 years since Taylor first performed at Tanglewood, beginning what James is thrilled to announce that he and the All-Star Band will return to Tanglewood on July 3 and 4! Fireworks will follow the July 4 concert, and proceeds from that show will be donated by Kim and James to support Tanglewood. The stream will be available for 24 days after the July 4 broadcast. In accordance with limits set by local health authorities for all Tanglewood season performances, the audience on July 4 will be limited to 9,000.
