Saturday, July 2 Decoration station When: 1-3 p.m. Juneau’s 4th of July Parade begins at 11 a.m. downtown. Expect road closures, parking restrictions, and delays from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Consider walking or public transit. Summer Program The focus of the Fourth of July in Douglas has always been on the children and the community coming together to celebrate. Competition including ballgames, and fire hose events between Juneau and Douglas have gone back through our history to the days the Treadwell Mine was in operation.
