On July 4, Savannah’s Waterfront hosts its annual Independence Day Celebration! The event is open to all, with no entry fee, and metered parking downtown will be free for the day. Several waterfront restaurants will be providing food and drink specials. Fireworks will be lighting up the Georgia skies before, during, and after the 4th of July complete with food trucks, festivals, and more fun. Our largest annual event is the Independence Day Celebration attracting over 40,000 people. Celebrating the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, the fireworks show is not only entertaining but also a vibrant symbol of our freedom here in the United States. Savannah’s Waterfront is delighted to host our largest annual event, the Independence Day Celebration, on Friday, July 4, 2025. This event is free and open to all. The fireworks show will be launched from a barge in the Savannah River in front of the Savannah Convention Center. Spoiler alert: the city is brimming with entertainment options on the 4th of July.
