Montgomery County has announced two free fireworks celebrations: Germantown Glory on Friday, July 4 at South Germantown Recreational Park and Mid-County Sparkles on Saturday, July 5 at Albert Einstein High School, both starting at 7 p.m. with live music and fireworks set for 9:15 p.m. The Independence Day 2024 celebrations will be held at these locations: Thursday, July 4, 7 p.m.: Germantown Glory at South Germantown Recreational Park, 18041 Central Park Circle in Germantown When to Watch Fireworks in Germantown - Germantown, MD - The city will host its annual July 4 fireworks display at the Germantown Soccerplex, preceded by a patriotic concert. Germantown Glory returns to the SoccerPlex after derecho-induced hiatus in 2012. Germantown Glory will kick off on July 4 at 7 p.m. with a concert by Quiet Fire, a soul, rhythm and blues and rock band that covers hits from the 1960s, 70s and 80s. Follow the directional signs for free on-site parking. The fireworks displays will begin at approximately 9:15 p.m. Several communities in Montgomery County have Fourth of July parades, picnics and fireworks planned, with two displays sponsored by the county. Germantown Glory and Mid-County Sparkles displays on Germantown Glory will kick off on July 4th at 7:00 pm at the South Germantown Recreational Park featuring a performance by the Central City Orchestra. The fireworks display will begin at approximately 9:15 pm. Timing of the fireworks show may change due to weather conditions.
