The Hurdland 4th of July Celebration is a community event that brings together families, friends, and neighbors to commemorate Independence Day. This year marks our 153rd consecutive year, making the Hurdland celebration the longest running Independence Day celebration in northeast Missouri. Each year, volunteers work together to host a community event on the evening of July 3rd and all day on July 4th to celebrate Independence Day. The celebration is free to attend and includes a parade, live music, fireworks, a car show, a tractor show, vendors, games, and giveaways through a raffle.
